Lifeline USA has been producing functional fitness products since 1973. Their kettlebells are highly endorsed by Kettlebell instructor and strength coach, Mike Mahler. Upon purchasing the Kettlebell, 3 usefule e-Books on Kettlebell/strength training by Mahler were immediately sent as a value add. He also has a number of instructional DVDs for sale on the LifelineUSA site. Country of production is answered in the FAQ section of LiflelineUSA’s site “Our first batch of kettlebells were made in China, however we are currently seeking a high quality kettlebell manufacturer within the United States.”

RKC Kettlebells AKA Dragon Door

Considered the Cadillac of kettlebells, this was the first kettlebell to become commercially available in the US. Introduced by Pavel Tsatsouline in 2001, a leading fitness authority and Soviet and US Special Ops Trainer, kettlebells have spread like wildfire in the US since then. Pavel and Dragon Door didn’t stop with just introducing a solid product but they have since gone on to produce instructional videos, books, a Kettlebell instructor certification program, an online forum and many other complementary products and services to enhance their kettlebells. Until recently their kettlebells were produced in the USA and Russia only but now they are sourcing them from China as well. This change has allowed them to reduce their kettlebell pricing by 30%.

Ader Fitness Kettlebells

Ader Fitness has been in the fitness business since 1983. They started making regular Kettlebells commerically available in 2003 and the Premium models since 2005. Their Kettlebells have a grey baked-on hammer tone paint. Ader touts more surface area on the bottom of their Kettlebells which they claim aids in doing certain Kettlebell exercises. Ader Fitness does not sell direct so prices vary slightly according to distributor. Kettlebell instructor and author Lisa Shaffer highly endorses Ader Kettlebells. Country of production is China.

AKC Professional Grade Kettlebells

Designed by World Champion in Girevoy Sport (The Russian national sport of kettlebell lifting), Valery Fedorenko, these are the only ones endorsed by the American Kettlebell Club. The AKC, who produces these Kettlebells, does so in varying weights. This is not unusual. The unique feature is that while they produce varying weights, the physical dimensions are exactly the same. This is supposed to aid greatly in moving up in weight as there is no having to get used to a different size/shape. They are produced in several colors corresponding to their weight. These Kettlebells are highly endorsed by Kettlebell/strength and performance trainer Steve Cotter.
